This study investigates the use of code-mixing in educational content produced by edu-influencers on social media from a sociolinguistic and digital discourse perspective. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study analyzes ten selected utterances containing Indonesian–English code-mixing. The classification of code-mixing types is based on Muysken’s (2000) typology, namely insertion, alternation, and congruent lexicalization. The findings reveal that insertion is the most dominant type of code-mixing, indicating that Indonesian functions as the matrix language while English elements are embedded mainly in the form of academic terms. Alternation and congruent lexicalization occur less frequently and are used primarily for emphasis and stylistic variation. Functionally, code-mixing serves not only linguistic purposes but also social and symbolic functions, such as conveying academic authority, modernity, and global orientation. In the context of social media, code-mixing functions as a digital communication strategy that helps edu-influencers construct an educative and credible online persona while enhancing audience engagement. This study highlights that code-mixing in educational social media content reflects the intersection of language practices, digital identity, and contemporary educational discourse.
In this study, a novel atomic insight into the addition of iron (Fe) atoms into NiTi alloy was successfully carried out using molecular dynamics simulation. The use of interatomic potential with the embedded-atom method was also compared with the experimental results. The resulting data were in the form of radial distribution function (RDF), structure factor S(q), and local structure. This study indicates that the addition of Fe atoms into NiTi alloy effects the atomic packing density, which is shown by the difference in the first peak intensity in RDF and S(q). Local structures such as bcc, fcc, hcp, and ico also experienced differences in number appearance.
Structural reinforcement is essential for structural components that require increased strength. GFRP mesh jacketing is an alternative reinforcement technique because it is effective for structural components that experience compressive forces. GFRP has proven to be an alternative to steel reinforcement because it has high tensile strength, is lightweight, has corrosion resistance, and has superior durability. This study aims to determine the increase in compressive strength of concrete without a GFRP mesh layer and with variations of the GFRP mesh layer. This study also seeks to analyze the stress-strain diagram of concrete with GFRP mesh jacketing. This study was conducted through experiments using cylindrical concrete specimens with a diameter of 150 mm, a height of 300 mm, and a concrete quality of 25 MPa. The test subjects had three variations: concrete without GFRP mesh, with single-layer GFRP mesh, and with two-layer GFRP mesh; each variation consisted of three sample objects. Each specimen was tested for compressive strength. The test results showed an increase in compressive strength of 11.47
Purpose: This study examines the influence of the PayLater feature on consumer decisions when purchasing travel packages. This study addresses the limited empirical research on BNPL usage in the tourism sector and adopts the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to explain consumer behavior regarding digital payment adoption. Research Methodology: A quantitative associative approach was employed using a sample of 100 active users of Online Travel Agent (OTA) platforms in Jakarta, Bandung, Purwakarta, and Cirebon. Respondents were selected through purposive sampling based on their experience with PayLater services. Data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption testing, and simple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS software to evaluate the effect of PayLater usage on purchasing decisions. Results: The Paylater feature positively and significantly affected purchasing decisions. The availability of instant credit access and the perceived benefits of fintech services enhance consumer confidence and reduce financial and psychological barriers to spending. The regression results show that PayLater usage explains 46.8% of the variation in purchasing decisions. Conclusions: PayLater facilitates the transformation of purchase intention into actual transactions, especially for high-value travel products, thereby strengthening digital consumer behavior. Limitations: This study focused only on Indonesian OTA users and did not incorporate psychological or social influencing factors. Contributions: The findings provide practical insights for OTA providers, marketers, and policymakers to improve digital payment systems, enhance consumer trust, and develop more effective marketing strategies.
This study investigates the effectiveness of the Diagnostic Trouble Box (DTB)-integrated learning media in enhancing vocational students’ diagnostic competence and critical thinking skills in automotive electrical systems. The DTB was designed to replicate authentic vehicle fault conditions with adjustable levels of difficulty, enabling learners to engage in systematic troubleshooting, data interpretation, and decision-making processes that mirror industrial practices. The study utilized a quasi-experimental, nonequivalent control group design, comprising 68 vocational students divided into experimental and control groups. Approved diagnostic competence and critical thinking instruments were used to collect the data, which were then complemented with observation sheets and assessed using paired and independent sample t-tests along with effect size computations. The findings revealed that students who learned using DTB-integrated media achieved significantly higher gains in diagnostic competence and critical thinking (p < 0.05) compared to those who received conventional instruction. The DTB group demonstrated superior ability in identifying electrical faults, interpreting measurement data, and formulating accurate repair strategies, reflecting improved analytical reasoning and problem-solving performance. These results confirm that integrating DTB media provides an authentic, technology-enhanced learning environment that promotes experiential and higher-order cognitive engagement. This study provides empirical evidence to vocational education research by presenting DTB as an innovative instructional model that effectively connects theoretical classroom learning with practical industrial diagnostic practices, thus equipping students with the competencies required in the industry 4.0 era.
