This study aims to examine and explain the nature, forms, and determining factors of the oversight function exercised by the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) over the implementation of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) in East Kalimantan Province. Specifically, the research analyzes how DPRD supervision is conducted, to what extent it aligns with the mandate of the prevailing legal framework, and what institutional, political, and administrative factors influence its effectiveness. The study employs a combined normative and empirical legal research approach, using qualitative methods. Normative analysis is applied to examine statutory provisions, particularly Law Number 23 of 2014 on Regional Government, while empirical data are obtained through interviews, observations, and document analysis to capture practices and dynamics in the field. The findings reveal that, in principle, the DPRD is granted legislative, budgeting, and supervisory functions, positioning it as a key political oversight institution alongside the regional executive. DPRD also holds interpellation, inquiry, and opinion rights, enabling it to correct policy deviations. However, DPRD oversight of the APBD in East Kalimantan has not operated optimally. Constraining factors include limited capacity and competence of council members, restricted transparency and data access, political dynamics in executive–legislative relations, inadequate facilities and institutional support, as well as issues of ethics and political integrity. Strengthening DPRD’s code of ethics, enhancing internal control by the Ethics Council, and fostering constructive partnerships with the executive are recommended to improve accountability and good governance in regional financial management.
ABSTRACT Schizophrenia is a chronic mental disorder that affects the quality of life of sufferers. One of the common side effects of atypical antipsychotic therapy is weight gain, which can affect patient compliance with treatment and increase the risk of metabolic syndrome. This study aims to analyze the effect of atypical antipsychotic administration on weight changes in schizophrenia patients at the Dadi Regional Special Hospital, South Sulawesi Province. This study used a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of schizophrenia patients who underwent outpatient and inpatient care at the hospital during the study period. Weight measurements were taken before treatment, one month, and two months after atypical antipsychotic therapy began. Data analysis was performed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and inferential statistical tests. The results showed that there was a significant increase in weight after one and two months of treatment. The average weight of patients increased from 66.33 kg before treatment to 67.93 kg after one month, and 74.63 kg after two months. Statistical tests showed significant differences in weight changes at various measurement periods. Administration of atypical antipsychotics has a significant effect on weight gain in schizophrenia patients. Therefore, regular weight monitoring and implementation of weight management strategies are important to reduce the risk of metabolic side effects and improve the quality of life of patients. The problem of malnutrition, including stunting, is greatly influenced by environmental sanitation and personal hygiene. This paper examines the influence of the availability of trash bins, Waste Water Drainage Channels (Saluran Pembuangan Air Limbah or SPAL), and toilets on the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the Coastal Area of Tamangapa Village. This paper was a quantitative descriptive study. This study was conducted in Tamangapa Village from September to November 2024. The population was mothers with toddlers in Tamangapa Village, Pangkep Regency. The sample consisted of 72 respondents. The data source used primary data obtained through questionnaires. The analysis test used regression analysis. The results showed that the availability of trash bins (p = 0.000), SPALs (p = 0.000), and toilets (p = 0.003) affected the incidence of stunting in toddlers. In conclusion, the availability of basic sanitation (including trash bins, wastewater disposal channels, and toilets) has a significant impact on the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the coastal area of Tamangapa Village, Pangkep Regency.
Background: Patients with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) require routinehemodialysis. Long-term hemodialysis often leads to physical, psychological, and socioeconomic challenges that reduce quality of life. Religious and spiritual coping mechanisms represent important adaptive strategies for managing chronic illness and improving well- being. This study investigates the relationship between religious coping strategies and quality of life in patients with ESRD undergoing hemodialysis. Methods: An analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted involving 80 patients receiving hemodialysis therapy. Participants were recruited through accidental sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman correlation tests to assess the relationship between religious coping and quality of life across four domains:physical, psychological, social, and environmental. Result: The results indicated that patients employing positive religious coping experienced significantly better quality of life across all domains (p < 0.005). Conversely, patients using negative religious coping demonstrated lower quality of life in these domains (p < 0.005). Conclusion: These findings emphasize that religious coping functions as a psychosocial resource for patients undergoing hemodialysis. Incorporating coaching interventions grounded in religious coping into nursing care may enhance patients' quality of life with End-Stage Renal Disease(ESRD).
The development of digital technology in the healthcare sector has become a key factor in promoting efficiency and improving the quality of public services. One of the innovations introduced by BPJS Kesehatan to support digital transformation is the Mobile JKN application. This study aims to analyze the influence of four core constructs from the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model—performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions—on behavioral intention in using the Mobile JKN application, as well as to examine the statistical significance of each variable’s effect. This research adopts a quantitative explanatory approach using multiple linear regression analysis. The sample was selected through a total sampling technique based on Mobile JKN users at the Minasate’ne Public Health Center in June, involving 67 respondents. The results indicate that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence have a significant effect on behavioral intention (p < 0.05), while facilitating conditions do not show a significant effect (p > 0.05). Simultaneously, all four variables significantly influence behavioral intention, with an R² value of 0.785. It is concluded that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence are significant factors influencing individuals’ intentions to use the Mobile JKN application, whereas facilitating conditions are not significant in this research context.
