This research is predicated on the sociological necessity of understanding the various forms of lies that are still taken seriously by society. It seeks to critically examine the semantic interpretations of the terms Kādzib, 'Ifk, Zūr, Bāṭil as articulated in the Tafsir al-Tahrir wa al-Tanwir by Ibnu 'Asyur. The research formulationis structured around two primary objects: 1) how ibn Asyur interprets the terms Kādzib, 'Ifk, Zūr, Bāṭil, and 2) how the hadith concerning the permissibility of lying is relavant to these meanings. Adopting a qualitative, library-based methodology, this study employs a thematic analysis method (maudhu'i). The primary source materials is Tafsir al-Taḥrīr wa al-Tanwīr by Ibn ‘Āshūr, supplemented by a secondary source of relevant scholarly journals, monographs and theological treatises. The findings indicate that while these terms are oftern categorized under the broad umbrella of falsehood, each term has a distinct meaning depending on its context. According to Ibn 'Asyur, 1) Kādzib refers to act of deception. 2) 'ifk denotes major accusations or slander. 3) zūr refers to the distortion of information or testimonies that deviate from empirical reality. 4) bāṭil refers to any form of falsehood or something that lacks a foundation of truth. The Hadith that permits lying in three situations warfare, conflict resolutions, and the preservation of marital harmony. The study concludes that such exceptions do not constitute condemned mendacity, rather they serve as instruments of maqāṣid al-syarī'ah to maintain social equilibrium and communal benefit. The scholarly contribution of this study lies in its systematic analysis of the varying gradations of lying through the lens of Ibn 'Asyur perspective. It offers significant insights into the development of thematic exegesis and provides a framework for the construction of social ethics, asserting that the morality of an utterance is intrinsically linked to its contextual purpose and its alignment with the preservation of public interest.
Background: Education plays a crucial role in sustainable development by shaping generations who are sensitive to environmental issues and capable of addressing them. In higher education, research-based sustainable campus concepts and strategies can enhance the well-being, health, and productivity of the academic community. Objectives: This study employed a research and development design to develop a Project-Based Learning e-module integrated with Education for Sustainable Development to improve students’ problem-solving skills and environmental awareness. Methods: The e-module was developed using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Results: Validation by material experts yielded a score of 89.93, categorized as very valid, while design expert validation produced a score of 88.29, also categorized as very valid. The practicality test resulted in a score of 86%, indicating that the e-module was practical for use in learning activities. Students’ problem-solving skills achieved an N-gain score of 0.49, while environmental awareness reached 0.68, both categorized as moderate. Conclusion: These findings indicate that the developed e-module is valid, practical, and moderately effective, suggesting its potential as an innovative learning resource for promoting sustainability-oriented education in higher education contexts. It also offers a relevant instructional alternative for fostering active, contextual, and environmentally responsible learning experiences among university students effectively.
High turnover intention among Generation Z employees poses a serious challenge for startup industries that rely on human resource stability and innovation. This study aims to examine the effect of distributive justice and job embeddedness on turnover intention among Generation Z employees in the startup industry. The research hypotheses propose that distributive justice and job embeddedness negatively affect turnover intention, both partially and simultaneously. This study employed a quantitative method with a correlational approach involving 175 Generation Z employees selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that distributive justice and job embeddedness simultaneously have a significant effect on turnover intention, with distributive justice emerging as the dominant predictor. These findings highlight the importance of fair reward distribution and strengthening job embeddedness to reduce turnover intention among Generation Z employees in the startup sector.
This study aims to analyze the causal relationship between the implementation of Sharia good Corporate Governance and the long-term operational resilience of Sharia commercial banks, as well as integrating Islamic ethical concepts such as Ihsan and Maqashid Sharia into GCG performance measurement models. This study uses a normative-juridical-qualitative approach that is reinforced by quantitative-descriptive content analysis. The normative approach focused on the evaluation of the regulatory framework and the theological foundation, while the empirical analysis referred to the data of Sharia commercial banks operating in Indonesia for the period 2014-2023. Research shows that effective implementation of Sharia GCG contributes significantly to profitability (ROA) and operational resilience. The Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) serves as a pillar of integrity with strict legal accountability. Banks that apply the Ihsan principle perform voluntary disclosure, which creates superior Trust Capital. However, the main challenge lies in the substantive implementation due to personal involvement and cultural challenges such as mental corruption. Good Sharia Corporate Governance is a non-negotiable prerequisite for the sustainability of Sharia commercial banks in the financial, ethical, and social dimensions. The effectiveness of Sharia Good Corporate Governance positions the bank to meet the dual objectives of mundane and ukhrawi accountability, with ethical transparency and Islamic Social Reporting (ISR) reporting as an important instrument in maintaining stakeholder trust.
