The global imperative for sustainable development necessitates a unified strategy involving economic advancement, ecological conservation, and disaster preparedness to drive high-quality development, particularly in nations experiencing rapid growth, like China.The existing literature has not extensively explored the dynamic interactions of the Economy-Ecology-Disaster (EED) triad, particularly the influence of Land Use Efficiency (LUE) on this complex web.The research constructs an extensive analytical framework, employing panel data spanning 31 Chinese provincial-level regions from 2010 to 2022.The analytical approach of this research incorporates entropy weighting and composite index techniques for trend analysis within the EED system, employs the Coupling Coordination Degree Model (CCDM) for synergistic interaction assessment, utilizes the Geographically and Temporally Weighted Regression (GTWR) model along with standard deviation ellipse analysis to examine the spatiotemporal pattern of LUE impact, and forecasts future trends using the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model.Research indicates that the EED system follows a three-phase trajectory of “swift escalation–equilibrium–incremental growth,” marked by clear regional variations.The study provides empirical backing for the realization of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goals 11 and 13, and contributes practical policy suggestions for policy development in developing nations.The study provides empirical backing for the accomplishment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goals 11 and 13, and contributes practical policy suggestions for policy development in developing nations.
PurposeThis study aims to explore the impact of the integration of digital and real economy on corporate supply chain disruption risks as well as the mediating effect of intellectual capital on the above-mentioned relationship.Design/methodology/approachThis study uses patent and listed company data from Chinese prefecture-level cities from 2011 to 2023. Patent co-classification and text analysis methods are employed to measure the variables, and an empirical test is conducted using a double fixed-effects regression model to analyze the impact.FindingsThe integration of digital and real economy significantly reduces supply chain disruption risks. This effect is more pronounced in central and western regions, areas with a higher degree of market development, state-owned enterprises, high-tech industries and regions with high levels of digital infrastructure. The mechanism analysis reveals that the integration enhances corporate intellectual capital, particularly human and relational capital, which in turn helps reduce supply chain disruption risks.Originality/valueThis study provides empirical evidence on how the integration of digital and real economy affects supply chain disruption risks, emphasizing the role of intellectual capital as a mediator. The findings offer valuable insights for policymakers and businesses to optimize infrastructure and policies for digital integration, enhancing corporate intellectual capital to mitigate supply chain risks.
Organizational resilience is the potential ability of a system to endure adversity, sustain its existing structure, and recover quickly after a shock. However, we know little about the factors that influence organizational resilience in the context of specific emergent situations. The COVID-19 pandemic has provided a new opportunity for research on the influencing factors in organizational resilience. In this study, we explore the impact of female participation in executive teams on organizational resilience on the basis of female executives’ utility, upper echelons theory, and organizational resilience. We use 1755 listed Chinese A-share companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen as our study sample and test them by using OLS models with robust standard errors and Cox risk proportion models. The results suggest that companies with a higher proportion of female executives before the shock will experience fewer losses and will take a shorter amount of time to recover from the attack. By revealing the impact of female executives on organizational resilience, this paper fills the gap in the relevant literature and further explores the practical value and managerial implications.
Organizational resilience has received widespread attention for its ability to empower organizations to adapt to and recover from environmental shocks,with two core attributes of stability and flexibility. In this paper,the impact of digital investment on organizational resilience is examined in the dual context of the COVID-19 and enterprise digitization,using data from Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed manufacturing companies from 2018—2021,and the impact of digital investment on enterprise stability and flexibility is examined separately. The findings show that(1) Digital investment has a significant positive impact on enterprise stability,and enterprises with higher intensity of digital investment suffer less damage under the COVID-19;(2) Digital investment has a significant positive impact on enterprise flexibility,and enterprises with higher intensity of digital investment can recover from the COVID-19 faster. The findings of the study answer the relationship between digital investment and organizational resilience at the theoretical level and provide insights for digital investment decisions and resilience capacity building of enterprises.
Environmental regulation is the principal policy for the deterioration of the ecological environment, but it can also interfere with the green development efficiency of resource-based cities. However, the relationship between regulation and development is still unclear and how to realize the sustainable development of resource-based cities under environmental regulation becomes an important topic. This paper investigates the green economy efficiency of resource-based cities using the super-SBM model based on the panel data of 98 resource-based cities in China from 2006 to 2016. Then, we empirically test the effect of environmental regulation using the SYS-GMM estimation method and threshold model. This study finds that the green economy efficiency in different categories of resource-based cities is significantly different. Environmental regulation has a significant positive effect on the green economy efficiency in resource-based cities and significantly promotes the green economy efficiency in growing cities. The policy also plays a certain role in improving the green economy efficiency in grow-up cities, but the effect is not significant. In addition, environmental regulation has a negative impact on the green economy efficiency of recessionary cities and regenerative cities. Finally, some policy suggestions are put forward to realize the sustainable development of resource-based cities.
Abstract The sudden outbreak of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) sparked widespread concern about organisational resilience in the management domain. The resources, operations and practices of organisational resilience have to be considered in particular contexts at different stages and in relation to numerous inputs, processes and outputs. Selected as one example, the preparation, response and development of a retail supermarket's management and operations in China is examined through an empirical case study. Supply chain and digital construction, improvisational ability, system management and corporate social responsibility all played a positive role in this organisation's response to the outbreak of COVID-19 (2019–2020) in the Chinese management context. Organisational resilience is reflected in the case study organisation's self-interested and altruistic policies and practices. The case provides valuable insights on efficacious management practices for organisational resilience building in the retail industry.
突发灾害应急管理实践表明,响应主体间的合作关系网络可靠性将影响应急响应的效率.本文以"6.24"新磨滑坡作为研究案例,采用文献分析、访谈、关系挖掘等研究方法构建灾害响应过程中主体间的合作者关系网络,重点从社会网络视角对该合作者关系的网络韧性进行量化分析,并对比随机生成的合作网络以及国外类似案例.研究发现,应急响应网络中的关键行动主体履行了救灾响应所要求的责任角色;在应急救援的效率方面,我国的应急救援体制具有制度优越性;指挥部等关键行动者会影响整个合作网络的效率和韧性.因此,在灾后应急救援时需进一步提升整体网络成员中协同救灾的水平,以在救援效率和效果上取得实效.
本文首先立足于文创产业的概念演进,分析产业人才跨界培养的现实需求,提出基于文创产业跨界人才培养的驱动模式.其次,结合文创新兴之都——成都的产业发展举措、教育资源特色及城市发展战略定位,阐释跨界人才培养的动力来源,分析成都在文创产业跨界人才培养中面临的机遇与挑战.最后,聚焦于文创产业人才培养的现实困境与问题,剖析文创产业跨界人才的多种培养路径,结合成都开展的相关举措进行分析,并提出成都文创产业在未来的文创产业跨界人才培养中需关注的焦点.
The development of disaster-prone areas is always lack of sustainability. The change of these areas needs to develop its resilience to grow internal and continue development power. However, the interaction mechanism of resilience and sustainable development in these areas is still unclear, and there is a lack of effective resilience cultivation strategies. This paper develops a theoretical framework of resilience and builds the regional economic-social development path of post-disaster reconstruction using a case in Heishui, a deep poverty county in the western China. Specifically, we investigate its regional resilience from three stages including the recovery stage, poverty alleviation stage and revitalization stage. Then, we analyze a balance relation and endogenous dynamics between the long-striding social system and the backward development mode of the sustainable economic-social development. The results show that the effective internal development structure can improve the resilience of poor and disaster-prone areas. In addition, these areas should focus on the physical level and the cultural level to improve the social resilience and institutional resilience, which contribute to the reconstruction and sustainable development of the disaster-prone areas.
In the real-world production process, the firms need to determine the optimal production planning under minimum production quantity constraint in order to achieve economies of scale. However, the inventory cost will hugely increase when there is a very large amount of production in a period and also a large amount of total demands for the next few periods. This paper considers a single-item dynamic lot sizing problem with production-or-outsourcing decisions. In each period, the production level cannot be lower than a given quantity in order to make full use of resources, but the outsourcing is unrestricted. The demands in a period can be backlogged. The production and outsourcing costs are fixed-plus-linear, and the inventory and backlogging costs are linear. We establish a mathematical programming model according to the real problem in the firm. We explore some structural properties of the optimal solution and use them to develop a dynamic programming algorithm to solve the proposed problem. We further present a special case with stationary production and outsourcing costs which can be solved with reduced computational complexities. In the end, we use three numerical instances to show how to obtain the optimal solutions by using the dynamic programming algorithm. Furthermore, we show that the policy of backlogging or outsourcing can reduce the total cost.
This paper takes Dongfang Steam Turbine Factory as the case study which is a representative state-owned enterprise in the hardest hit areas of "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake.It uses the case analysis method to study the disaster response and restoration as well as the reconstruction of the case enterprises in "5.12" earthquake from three dimensions of capability, process and result, and analyzes the mechanism of organizational resilience at different stages.The result shows as follows:organizational culture and social network in China's management scenarios play an active role in disaster response process;the organizational resilience of the case state-owned enterprises has an inherent "adaptive ability", and is characterized by "gradual" evolution.
研究需求损失下两产品联合生产(采购)动态批量决策问题.在各周期成本变动情形下分析多周期动态批量决策的预测时阈和决策时阈,构建包含联合启动成本、两产品的单独启动成本、库存持有成本、变动生产成本和需求损失成本在内的成本最小化模型.在最优解结构特性的基础上,设计出前向动态规划算法求解问题,通过建立两产品生产点的单调性和建立生产集,给出求解预测时阈和决策时阈的充分条件.通过数值算例分析预测时阈求解的具体过程,表明所构建模型的有效性.
川剧折子戏作为地方优秀传统文化代表,在新时期普及传播中遭遇困境.作为传统文化的继承和传播者,大学生具有传承优秀文化的“天然使命”.在他们人格素养、思想素养成长成熟的关键时期,通过将大学校园文化建设与民族文化推广相融合的教育模式,开展川剧折子戏进课堂的探索及实践,为进一步有效推动川剧艺术在大学群体的传承、川剧在大学生群体中的普及传播路径研究起着重要借鉴意义.
"5.12"汶川大地震严重破坏了四川汶川县、北川县、绵竹市等地的生态环境,同时,由于地震后效应的持续影响,极大地影响到重灾区的社会经济和人民的生产生活.将土地资源承载力划分为土地人口承载力、土地经济承载力、土地生态承载力三个方面,并分别从三个方面分析关键影响因素,进而构建土地资源承载力评价指标体系.在此基础上,以四川省清平镇为例,通过收集"5.12"地震过后清平镇相关数据,从时间维度上构建基于均方差法的土地资源承载力演化模型,并对结果进行分析,从不同角度为灾后规划和灾后重建提供建议.
创业胜任力是创业者成功创业的基础,也是创业企业持续发展的关键.“互联网+”为中小企业创业者提供了前所未有的发展机遇期.本文通过深度访谈,运用扎根理论方法,构建“互联网+”背景下女大学生创业胜任力研究框架,提炼胜任力的15个范畴和1个核心范畴,形成3条研究主线.并对胜任力与创业阶段及其任务进行匹配,初步提炼创业胜任力对女大学生在“互联网+”创业环境的影响因素,刻画创业胜任力对创业绩效的主要作用路径,为构建基于“互联网+”背景下的女大学生创业胜任力理论体系提供有益参考.
“5· 12”汶川特大地震属于非常规突发事件,各学科针对其所进行的研究成果丰硕但相对独立,将区域资源环境承载力作为突发事件衍生效应的承灾体可建立融合各研究领域的通道.文章在回顾区域资源环境承载力和地震衍生效应研究基础上,针对特大地震山地型重灾区科学重建的重大现实和理论需求,提出基于地震衍生效应的区域资源环境承载力研究思路,为研究地震灾害衍生效应影响下的区域经济社会可持续发展提供参考.
